On December 13th 2017, after a year of sickness, recovery, rest and reflection, the final loaves of bread were pulled from the massive wood fired oven that had been the heart of Farm and Sparrow bakery for more than a decade. The doors were left open to warm the room, a quiet toast was made, we said goodbye and thank you.

At the heart of our business has always been a landrace seed project, a dynamic community of organic farmers, and a craft mill where everything comes full circle. So it is with great excitement that while the bakery is resting, Farm and Sparrow is expanding upon its vision to bring ancient seeds, organic agriculture and craft milling together in collaboration with the most talented chefs, bakers, brewers, and baristas in our region.
